FED: McNeill's ex-wife finds it hard to believe he was charged

GLENN McNEILL's ex-wife has told a Norfolk Island court .. she'd found it difficult
to believe he'd been charged with JANELLE PATTON's murder.

ALIESHA TAYLOR was married to McNEILL at the time of the Sydney woman's death .. on
March 31 .. 2002.

Ms TAYLOR's told McNEILL's committal hearing .. she emailed the head of the Australian
Federal Police investigation .. to confirm his arrest was true.

Questioned about her recollection of events on the day of the murder .. she says her
husband brought her lunch to the Hillcrest Hotel .. where she worked as a receptionist.

She says she cannot recall coming home to find her husband had washed any of his clothes
.. and she never washed any bloodstains from his clothing .. or noticed any sets of his
clothing had gone missing.





The court's been told McNEILL left Norfolk Island for New Zealand on May 8 .. 2002
.. to attend his brother's wedding and take up a job offer.

His relationship with Ms TAYLOR .. whom he married in January 2002 .. broke down soon afterwards.

The hearing continues.
