Fed: Hollingworth issues statement =3
Dr Hollingworth detailed his response to several claims involving his time as Archbishopof Brisbane.
"I have examined my actions, my records, my conscience, my memory and my responsibilities,"
he said.
"On balance, I have decided that I must issue this detailed statement."
He said he now felt obliged to correct the public record over his actions.
He said in all cases, the rights of the children involved must be paramount.
Dr Hollingworth strongly denied he had ever discouraged any person from contactingthe police with allegations of sexual abuse.
