Queensland's sole World War I digger, 105-year-old TED SMOUT, has been given the all-clearto join this year's Anzac Day parade in Brisbane.

It was feared the parade on Friday would go ahead for the first time without any WorldWar I veterans.

Mr SMOUT'S been in poor health and 104-year-old veteran ERIC ABRAHAM died last month.

But Mr SMOUT'S son WESTY says doctors have given his father the all-clear to attend the parade.

He says Mr SMOUT'S family is ecstatic that he can go.
